Quality That Doesn’t Break the Bank
From the photos, this bathroom suffered from failing waterproofing, outdated tile, and inefficient layout. Discolored grout, chipped tile, and visible water damage suggested that the original shower pan had not been properly constructed. The space felt tight, dark, and dated.
Before | After |

The space is now open, bright, and spa-like—featuring full-height tile, a frameless glass shower, sleek matte fixtures, and modern cabinetry. The new floor and walls showcase clean grout lines and cohesive design. The rebuilt shower pan and underfloor waterproofing give the entire room a fresh, reliable foundation.
Scope of Work
- Demo and tear-out of old shower, flooring, and fixtures
- Removal of failing shower pan and moisture-damaged subfloor
- Reroute plumbing to accommodate new layout and shower position
- Install new waterproof shower pan (Schluter® system), cement board backing, and membrane
- Precision tile installation (floor and walls) using porcelain tile and color-coordinated grout
- Replace old fixtures with modern matte fixtures and glass shower enclosure
- Grout sealing and caulking throughout with mildew-resistant sealants
- Final finishing touches: trim, lighting upgrades, and cleanup

Client Goals
The homeowner wanted a functional, modern bathroom without the inflated cost of large-scale contractors. They needed a fix for the persistent leak and a fresh, open layout that felt spa-inspired—but without upscale showroom pricing.
Our Solution
Working closely with local manufacturers, our team completed the remodel in just 7 days for $8,500—well under typical remodel costs in Kansas City ($12K–$15K average). We started by replacing the failing shower pan system and rerouting the plumbing for the new shower footprint. Then, tile-first craftsmanship brought the design to life with clean lines, durability, and visual impact. Every step—from demo to final grout seal—was handled in-house by vetted craftsmen to ensure quality, predictability, and trust.
Customer Feedback
“It’s unbelievable what a difference the right craftsmanship makes. You actually made it look better than the pictures promised—and on budget. Less than $9K, and it feels like a $30K job.”
